Dakota is a Siouan language spoken along the border of North Dakota and Canada. It is the western variety of the Dakota language, and is sometimes called Western Dakota or Yankton-Yanktonai Dakota.

The Dakota course was created by Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre in 2012. It features over 150 lessons on general vocabulary.
